A good samaritan has created a free food pantry in front of 606 Branch St in the Mills Mill neighborhood in Woodruff.
Deemed the Little Free Pantry, the well-constructed cabinet contains canned foods, rice, pasta, and toiletries like soap and toothpaste. An inscription on the outside of the pantry states “Take what you need, Leave what you can.”
The creator of the pantry, who wants to remain anonymous, hopes to raise awareness of it’s location and encourage other residents to donate food, toiletries, and other dry goods. If you wish to help out, simply pull up, open the cabinet, and add your donation.
The diminutive pantry is small on space, but big on heart, and proves that residents in Woodruff care about helping the less fortunate among us.
